Battlefield 4 pt. 1

Here’s the story:

So yeah, I built myself a new computer on 13 October 2016, after using the same crappy laptop from 2011 for the past 5 years. All videos prior to this Battlefield 4 LP were edited on that laptop, to be clear.

Anyway, I was super excited to see what this hulking new desktop PC was capable of. So first I played 20 hours of MGSV. Then I played 5 hours of Battlefield 4, recorded it, and spent three straight days editing it. It had been about 2 months since I’d worked on a video, so I worked like mad.

On my actual playthrough: As I mentioned in the Portal pt. 1 post, I’m really not that great at commentary. There were huuuge portions of footage where I was dead silent. I also really don’t play first person shooters, so I was inordinately proud of how well I was doing at the game. I’ve since learned that the Battlefield campaigns use completely different gunplay than the multiplayer, and they’re supposed to be that easy.

Unfortunately, I left in a lot of my “impressive” gameplay just to show off, and it actually doesn’t make for that interesting a video in retrospect. I cut about 3 hours of gameplay into this hour-long video, but I probably could have cut it even further down to about a half-hour.

Interesting notes:

It’s called Pt. 1 for a reason.
